No day in the warehouse is like the other
After an one year internship in the office, Sven joined the incoming good department at Viessmann Climate Solutions by chance. He likes the work there so much that he starts an apprenticeship as a commercial warehouse specialist.

The regional warehouse is a hive of activity around the clock. The employees on the early, late and night shifts ensure that warehouse logistics run smoothly, including Sven, who has been training as a commercial warehouse specialist since August 2023. His day often starts at six in the morning. “We have flexitime and I like to start as early as possible,” says Sven. His activities are varied; he changes departments every three to four months, sometimes working in the office, sometimes in the warehouse.
We use resources sustainably and also pay attention to ecological aspects when planning routes.
Sven's tasks in the warehouse range from picking, packing and booking goods to planning truck routes. “You might think that warehouse logistics is just about stacking goods,” says Sven. “But here at Viessmann Climate Solutions, there's also a lot of office work.” He reports on his experience in transport equipment management, which ensures that every pallet that leaves the warehouse is properly documented and tracked. The variety of warehouse and office work is what makes the apprenticeship so appealing to Sven. “I've already worked in different departments,” says the 23-year-old. “There are fixed tasks in the office. But in the warehouse, no two days are the same.” But no matter which department Sven is in, his working day at Viessmann Climate Solutions is characterized by flexibility and teamwork.
Flexibility and team spirit in everyday working life
The variety of his tasks is a key motivating factor for Sven. He appreciates the variety and the prospect of being able to choose between different areas of work after his training. However, it's not just the work itself that motivates him, but also the people he works with. “My colleagues and the other trainees are really great,” he enthuses. “The opportunity for further training and participation in training courses makes the work particularly exciting.” In the regional warehouse, Sven gets to know many team members in his day-to-day work, especially those who work the early and late shifts. “Overall, we are a strong team,” he says.

Sven is actively committed to innovative climate solutions by paying attention to resource efficiency and acting in an environmentally conscious manner “I don't work in development, but at Viessmann Climate Solutions there are many small things in all departments that help each individual to make a contribution to climate protection,” he says, referring to the company's vision of creating living spaces for future generations.
As an apprentice, Sven feels well supported at Viessmann, for example through the apprentice mentor program, in which older apprentices support the newcomers with questions and problems. The project days at the start of training also make it easier for all trainees to get started. Activities such as planting trees together bring the young talents from the commercial and technical areas together, promote the working atmosphere and strengthen the team spirit. “These shared experiences have helped us to get to know each other better,” says Sven. “Now everyone knows who takes on which tasks.”
