  • Both companies want to work together to drive forward the digitalization of heating systems in the housing industry

  • The goal is to effectively reduce energy consumption, costs and CO₂ emissions with the help of automated control and optimization of system operation

Berlin / Allendorf (Eder), 07/18/2024   – Green Fusion GmbH, a specialist in heat and energy management software, and climate solutions provider Viessmann Climate Solutions (VCS), part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), the world's leading provider of intelligent climate and energy solutions, are joining forces to accelerate the green energy transition in the housing industry.

VCS provides a large proportion of the heating systems in the housing industry. More and more of these systems have a data connection ex works, so that all relevant operating and status data can be provided and accessed directly in the VCS Cloud. As part of the partnership, Green Fusion's intelligent energy-saving pilot can now be connected directly to the systems at the request of the system users in order to further increase the operating efficiency of the heating systems through holistic optimization and automated control.

As part of the VCS Developer Program, the operating data, such as flow and return temperatures, heating characteristic curves and many other settings, are transferred to the Green Fusion energy management platform, which is also cloud-based, via a standardized interface (API). Taking into account all relevant parameters and weather data, the Berlin-based company's AI-based software continuously and automatically controls and optimizes the heating systems.

The plan is to connect over 100 systems in 2024

“On the path to climate neutrality, there is no way around the digital boiler room and standardized interfaces are the be-all and end-all for exploiting the full potential here,” says Green Fusion Managing Director Paul Hock. “In Viessmann Climate Solutions, we have found a  very innovative manufacturer that is actively driving this forward. We are delighted to be one of the first partners in this pioneering program and plan to connect over 100 systems via the Viessmann API before the end of 2024.”

Dr. Thomas Beck, Head of Channel Housing and Healthcare at Viessmann Climate Solutions, adds: “Our customers and partners have an increasing need for intelligent solutions for the digital transformation of heating systems, for more sustainability and comfort. As part of Carrier Global Corporation and the world's leading provider of efficient and systemic climate and renewable energy solutions, we are now moving forward with the support of Green Fusion.”

System operation with maximum efficiency at all times

For customers, the seamless integration of VCS and Green Fusion systems is a major step towards a sustainable heating transition. Whether a simple gas heating system or a more complex energy system with a heat pump, PV system and other components: The digital boiler room offers real added value. Automated operation management ensures that the systems always run with maximum energy efficiency, even under changing requirements and outdoor conditions. There is also a whole range of other benefits and functions, such as remote control, monitoring and alarms in the event of an error.
