Munich, Germany, Jan. 14, 2025 – It is becoming increasingly important for architects, planners, investors, industrial and commercial representatives and installers to plan the right heating system to keep users' energy costs as low as possible while saving resources and protecting the environment. The combination of Carrier Global (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, and Viessmann Climate Solutions benefits not only the installers, but also all those involved in energy solutions and system operators. Innovative system solutions that comply with the current Building Energy Act will be presented at BAU in Munich from January 13-17, 2025. In hall B2, booth no. 139, interested parties can learn about (hybrid) system solutions with renewable energies and also experience Carrier solutions and services for the first time.

The unique combination with Carrier will create new opportunities for the long-standing and trusted partnerships with architects, planners, investors, industrial and commercial representatives and tradesmen.  The new multi-brand portfolio, created by the combination of Carrier and Viessmann Climate Solutions and in close collaboration with its partners, will for the first time cover all price points, distribution channels and, most importantly, all customer needs in the residential and commercial sectors. By combining the two companies, the impact on the decarbonization of the building sector can be increased with greater reach and on a larger scale worldwide. Viessmann Climate Solutions' heating technology and Carrier's air conditioning systems combine two core competencies that will be instrumental in meeting individual customer needs around the world. Carrier expands Viessmann's climate control portfolio and enables seamless integration of heating and cooling.

Viessmann Vitocal 250-A: Winning heat pump in Stiftung Warentest test is supplemented by new output sizes

With the Vitocal 250-A modernization heat pump (type: AWO-E-AC 251.A10, nominal heat output 2.6 to 9.7 kW at A-7/W35 according to EN 14511), Viessmann was the test winner in a comparison by Stiftung Warentest in October 2023. With an overall quality rating of 2.1, this heat pump also remained in a top position in the subsequent test in August 2024. New additional output sizes (16 and 18.5 kW) are expanding the range of applications for the Vitocal 250-A and 252-A heat pumps for buildings with higher heating loads.

Viessmann Vitocal 250-AH: Ideally suited for modernization

The Vitocal 250-AH version is particularly suitable for supplementing an existing heating system. With a flow temperature of up to 70 °C, the Vitocal 250-AH has been specially developed for modernization. This is because the heat pump provides the base load. The boiler is only activated at particularly low temperatures. This hybrid solution is therefore more reliable, compact and environmentally responsible than ever before.

Carrier AquaSnap 30AWH-P – Air-to-Water Heat Pump

The new Carrier AquaSnap 30AWH-P monobloc air-to-water heat pump with natural refrigerant R290 and output sizes from 4 kW to 14 kW is the result of a successful combination of innovation and environmental considerations, offering high levels of comfort all year long. It was designed as a heating and cooling system and is suitable for both new build and the renovation of residential buildings as well as for use in small commercial operations.

Carrier Mono- and Multi-Split High Wall Air-Conditioner 40WHP

40WHP is an innovative, high-efficiency air-to-air heat pump that delivers quiet operation and high air quality. The air conditioner is available in six colors and can be operated in mono-split mode with capacities ranging from 2.5 kW to 4.6 kW. A multi-split unit can supply up to five indoor units, covering capacities from 3.3 kW to 10 kW. Thanks to the filter, the plasma ionizer and the special treatment of the heat exchanger, the 40WHP provides first-class healthy air. The units are easy to operate via an intuitive remote control or smartphone/tablet with the "Carrier in the Air" app. The unique feature of the Carrier multi-split air-to-air heat pump is that the outdoor units are compatible with the indoor units of the 40WHP and 40WHH. They can be combined in any way the user chooses.

Carrier Mono- and Multi-Split High Wall Air-Conditioner 40WHH

The 40WHH air-to-air heat pump is designed to meet the individual heating and cooling needs of residential buildings. It combines modern design with a high level of comfort and energy saving. The built-in filter is capable of filtering up to 94% of fine dust from the air, ensuring healthier air quality in the living space. Another advantage of this heat pump is its high flexibility: a multi-split unit can supply up to 5 indoor units, covering output sizes from 3.3 kW to 10 kW. Seven mono-split models are available, with capacities ranging from 2.0 kW to 7.0 kW. The Carrier multi-split air-to-air heat pump outdoor unit is compatible with both the 40WHP and 40WHH indoor units and can be combined as needed.

Viessmann Vitocharge VX3: The new generation of battery is now cascadable

The heart of the smart energy systems for heat, electricity and electromobility is the new generation of the modular Vitocharge VX3 hybrid storage cylinder. Up to three Vitocharge VX3s can now be connected in cascade. As each storage unit can hold up to three battery units with a storage capacity of 5 kWh each, a total capacity of up to 45 kWh can be provided. The inverter is available in three power classes, both 1-phase and 3-phase, to enable the Vitocharge VX3 to be optimally adapted to photovoltaic systems up to 12 kWp.

Viessmann Energy Management: Using energy efficiently

Viessmann Energy Management is fully integrated into the new generation of the storage cylinder and the new Vitocal heat pumps. It is designed for maximum use of self-generated electricity and optimizes the interaction between the photovoltaic system and Vitocharge VX3 storage cylinder with the heat pump and the new Viessmann Charging Station for electric vehicles. This reduces energy costs and protects the climate in the best possible way. The ViCare app on the smartphone or tablet shows the energy flows in the house in real time. All this is made possible by Viessmann One Base. The new platform connects devices and electronic applications to create a single climate and energy solution for the family home. Users consume less energy, reduce their carbon footprint and maintain a constant overview of costs.
