The Vitocal 250-A heat pump is not only an option for many new buildings, but can also replace an old heating system in an existing building. With an electricity storage unit and the charging station, e-mobility can be intelligently integrated into electricity-based energy systems for the first time.

Nuremberg/Allendorf (Eder), 21.10.2024 – When planning a heating system, it is now more important than ever to keep energy costs as low as possible for system operators and at the same time keep CO₂ emissions for the environment to a minimum. From October 26 to November 3, 2024, Viessmann Climate Solutions will therefore be presenting innovative system solutions at the 70th Consumenta in Nuremberg that comply up to 100 percent with the guidelines of the Building Energy Act (GEG). In hall 4, stand no. F28, interested visitors can find out more about (hybrid) system solutions with renewable energies - which are not only more cost-effective than fossil fuels in the long term, but also generate few to none greenhouse gases.

Vitocal 250-A: Stiftung Warentest's top heat pump is supplemented by new output sizes

With the Vitocal 250-A modernization heat pump (type: AWO-E-AC 251.A10, nominal heat output 2.6 to 9.7 kW at A-7/W35 according to EN 14511), Viessmann was the test winner in a comparison by Stiftung Warentest in October 2023. With an overall quality rating of 2.1, this heat pump also remained in a top position in the subsequent test in August 2024. This year, additional output sizes (16 and 18.5 kW) are expanding the range of applications for the Vitocal 250-A and 252-A heat pumps for buildings with higher heating loads.

Vitocal 250-AH: Perfectly suited for modernization

The Vitocal 250-AH version is particularly suitable for supplementing an existing heating system. With a flow temperature of up to 70 °C, the Vitocal 250-AH has been developed specifically for modernization. This is because the heat pump provides the baseload. The boiler is only switched on at particularly low temperatures. This hybrid solution is therefore more reliable, compact and environmentally friendly than ever before.

Vitocharge VX3: The new generation of energy storage is now cascadable

At the heart of the smart energy systems for heat, electricity and electromobility is the new generation of the modular hybrid energy storage system Vitocharge VX3. With immediate effect, up to three Vitocharge VX3s can be connected in cascade. As each cylinder can accommodate up to three battery units with a storage capacity of 5 kWh each, a total capacity of up to 45 kWh can be provided. The inverter is available in three power classes, both 1-phase and 3-phase, to enable the Vitocharge VX3 to be optimally adapted to photovoltaic systems up to 12 kWp.

Charging Station: Charging electric vehicles easily, safely and efficiently

With the new Charging Station, supplemented by a Vitovolt photovoltaic system in combination with the Vitocharge VX3 storage cylinder, Viessmann is offering intelligent integration of e-mobility into electricity-based energy systems for the first time. This complete solution makes it possible to charge electric vehicles intelligently, efficiently and cost-effectively.

Viessmann Energy Management: Using energy efficiently

In the new generation of the energy storage system and the new Vitocal heat pumps, the Viessmann Energy Management is completely integrated. It is designed for maximum use of self-generated electricity and optimizes the interaction of the photovoltaic system and Vitocharge VX3 electricity storage unit with the heat pump and the new Viessmann Charging Station for e-vehicles. This reduces energy costs and protects the climate in the best possible way. The ViCare App on the smartphone or tablet shows the energy flows in the house in real time.
