Allendorf, 11.4.2025 – The ideal interplay of system-integrated solutions exploits the full performance potential of innovative cutting-edge technology - many components can be easily retrofitted and extended. With intelligent Energy Management, Viessmann increases the overall efficiency of the building's entire system technology. This has ecological and economic benefits. Viessmann Climate Solutions is part of Carrier Corporation (NYSE: CARR), a leading global provider of intelligent climate and energy solutions.
Even though an increasing proportion of gross energy consumption in Germany is being covered by renewable energies, CO₂ emissions are still enormous. This leads to the warming of our atmosphere and thus to climate change. Anyone who thinks far-sightedly will increase efficiency in heating, cooling, ventilation and electricity generation and increasingly rely on renewable energies. This is because the economical use of resources can reduce both CO₂ emissions and operating costs. According to an article by Finanztip.de, rising energy costs are also making heating with gas increasingly expensive. Three key reasons are:
- Empty gas storage tanks and high demand
According to Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE)*1 , gas storage levels in Germany are currently just under 30% (in comparison: a year ago, the figure was 65 %). This is leading to increased demand and short-term price spikes. Many long-term tariffs with a price guarantee are already significantly more expensive.
- Rising CO₂ costs
The CO₂ price for fossil fuels could rise significantly in the coming years. The CO₂ tax will already account for around 10% of the gas price in 2025. From 2027, the price will be freely traded on the exchange - the Ariadne research project expects the current price of €55/tonne*2 to double, which will cause heating costs to rise further.
- Exploding grid fees
Grid fees have already risen by 44% since 2022. According to Agora Energiewende, grid fees could increase 16-fold by 2045 (p. 47 PDF) . This would quadruple the price of gas to 47 ct/kWh, which would mean heating costs of € 7,050 per year or € 590 per month for a typical consumption of 15,000 kWh/year.
Attractive subsidies for energy-efficient system solutions help to ensure that investments pay for themselves even faster.
Starting a Successful Future Together: The New Viessmann System Profi Program
With the System Profi Program, Viessmann makes a strong commitment to the future partnering, sustainably, and always focusing on the needs of partners and end customers alike.
The heat pump market in Germany declined last year. Viessmann counters this trend with two key advantages: the close partnership with skilled trades and their expertise, as well as the system compatibility of its products.
To further support its partners in the electrification of buildings, Viessmann has launched the “System Profi Program.” Under this program, selected Viessmann partners are trained as certified System Professionals who provide customized, client-specific solutions for the holistic electrification of buildings with their broad system expertise. The program supports Viessmann partners from customer outreach to the finished climate system, ensuring all components are perfectly coordinated.
Well Networked: Electricity, Heat, and Mobility
Only through the perfect integration of system components is the full potential of innovative cutting-edge technology realized. Viessmann's individual heating components not only meet high standards of quality, reliability, and efficiency but are also part of a coordinated complete system where all components fit together perfectly.
Whether heat pump, hot water storage, photovoltaics, energy storage, charging stations, or ventilation systems—all components are well-networked and come from a single source. Naturally, any new product from Viessmann can be integrated into the One Base System.
Viessmann One Base for More Comfort, Overview, and Efficiency
Viessmann One Base is the unified platform for all Viessmann products, serving not only as a foundation for universal control but also as the perfect tool for commissioning, maintenance, service, and monitoring of the entire energy system. System operators benefit from high comfort, efficient operation, and intuitive control of the heating system via mobile devices.
With the free ViCare app, system operators are always in direct contact with their heating system. The smart Viessmann Energy Management not only makes all energy flows transparent but also optimizes them, meeting the requirements for cost-saving and efficient operation.
Comfortably Tempering with ViCare Components
When modernizing with heat pumps, the cooling function can be effectively utilized, as heat pump radiators with integrated fans provide a solution. Cold water flows through the radiators, removing excess heat from the air. The regulation of thermostat valves suitable for the radiators, as well as humidity and climate sensors, is also managed by ViCare, enabling efficient individual room control and full integration into Viessmann One Base.
Keeping Everything in View with ViGuide
Skilled tradespeople also benefit from the connected devices, which they can monitor via the ViGuide app's dashboard. This app allows them to ensure the efficient operation of the devices remotely. The ViGuide dashboard shows the professional partner not only all important parameters regarding the system's operational status but also current and historical consumption data, which can be used to optimize the system’s efficiency online if needed.
On the ViGuide dashboard, the professional partner sees, among other things, current and past consumption data, which can be used to optimize the system's efficiency online if necessary.
Energy Management – Designed for Future Security
Viessmann's energy management is designed for future security. New products coming to the market from Viessmann can generally be integrated into Viessmann One Base. According to § 14a of the Energy Industry Act (EnWG), devices with an electrical connection power greater than 4.2 kW can be throttled in the event of potential grid overload. Viessmann's energy management ensures continued optimal supply to consumers by incorporating various energy sources into the power supply.
Starting January 1, 2025, energy providers will offer dynamic electricity tariffs. Every electricity customer can benefit from low or even negative electricity prices by consuming electricity when it's cheapest. Viessmann's energy management takes control of this, using the most favorable electricity tariffs at any given time.
