System integration with the new Viessmann One Base

Allendorf/Eder, May 14, 2022 – After a break induced by the pandemic, this year’s IFH/Intherm is the first SHK trade fair at which Viessmann will present its innovations to visitors not only online, but as something they can get their hands on. From April 26 to 29, 2022, the family business will be showcasing numerous innovative solutions for the sustainable supply of heat, electricity and fresh air, as well as innovations in digital services and services in Hall 4A at stand 007. The information being offered will be rounded off by interesting short presentations on selected specialist topics, which will be held daily at the trade fair stand.

New generation of heat pumps

“We create living spaces for generations to come” – in keeping with the company purpose, Viessmann uses examples of systems for modernization and new builds to show what climate-friendly heating looks like today and what it will look like in the future. One example is the combination of the innovative Vitocal 250-AH hybrid heat pump with the new Vitoladens 300-C “Green Fuels Ready” condensing boiler and a photovoltaic system with Vitovolt 300 modules, offering a forward-looking solution for many existing buildings.

Another example of modernization shows the Vitocal 250-A monobloc heat pump. Like the Vitocal 250-AH hybrid heat pump, it is also specially designed for modernization with a flow temperature of up to 70°C. And, thanks to its patented hydraulics, it is considerably easier and faster to install than conventional heat pumps. This simplifies the work of the specialist trade partner considerably.

In energy-efficient new builds, the new Vitocal 200-S and Vitocal 222-S split-design heat pumps are the first choice. They are available as wall-mounted or floorstanding compact units with integrated DHW cylinder and achieve flow temperatures of up to 60°C. The units will be presented together with the new generation of the wibutler pro energy control and alarm panel, Viessmann’s powerful smart home solution.

Alternative to oil and gas: carbon-neutral heating with biomass

In addition to modern heat pumps, biomass boilers are also a climate-neutral alternative to heating with oil and gas. The Vitoligno 300-C boilers for wood pellets (12 to 48 kW) and the Vitoligno 200-S (20 to 50 kW) and Vitoligno 150-S (17 to 45 kW) log boilers are now available in Vitographite. At the trade fair stand, visitors can expect to see a sample system with a Vitoligno 300-C and the new Vitocell 320-M heating water buffer cylinder, as well as Vitosol 200-FM solar collectors. The new heating water buffer cylinder was designed to be combined with the pellet boiler. The integrated DHW generation by means of corrugated stainless steel pipe means that there is no need for an additional DHW cylinder. With two connections for electric heating rods, hot water can be stored quickly during the non-heating period. It is also technically feasible to integrate a photovoltaic system, providing electricity that can be used to heat the storage cylinder.

Compact Vitoair FS ventilation system

Since the outbreak of the global coronavirus pandemic, awareness has grown considerably that good ventilation systems play a decisive role in health and well-being. Fresh, clean and, above all, germ-free ambient air is more important today than ever before. With the new Vitoair FS home ventilation system, Viessmann has created a particularly compact solution for this need, with an overall height of just 245 millimeters. In addition, the new device is particularly flexible when it comes to installation: it can be placed under the ceiling, on the wall or in the attic. Vitoair FS can be seamlessly combined with Vitocal heat pumps. An expansion module to include additional components, such as a photovoltaic system and an electricity storage system Vitocharge VX3, is possible at any time. In this case, Vitoair FS and Vitocal can be operated independently of the public power grid for large parts of the day.

Vitocharge VX3 electricity storage system – now three-phase for more power

The Vitocharge VX3 electricity storage system gives homeowners the option of storing electricity in an uncomplicated way and thus using it more efficiently – for example, in order to operate a heat pump. A new feature of this electricity storage system is the three-phase connection to a PV system with 9 and 12 kWp power for higher consumption of self-generated electricity. Depending on the connection type and parameterization, Vitocharge VX3 can be used as a hybrid electricity storage system with a new photovoltaic (PV) system, as an electricity storage system with an existing PV inverter or as a pure PV inverter.

Easier and faster: commissioning, maintenance and service

Whether it’s the new Vitocal heat pumps, the Vitoair FS ventilation system or other systems from Viessmann’s Integrated Solution Offering – all of these solutions are based on the new Viessmann One Base. Similar to an interconnected ecosystem in nature, Viessmann One Base seamlessly connects products and systems with digital services such as the ViCare app and the ViGuide (formerly Vitoguide) service tool. This makes commissioning, maintenance, service and monitoring of energy systems much easier and faster. Trade partners not only save a lot of time – their customers also enjoy maximum convenience and energy efficiency as well as the safety of their systems.

Short presentations at the trade fair stand

Free 15-minute presentations will be offered to visitors daily starting at 10 a.m., every hour on the hour. Topics will be:
