- Viessmann sets new aesthetic standards for large heat pumps
- The Vitocal 250-A PRO air/water heat pump is designed for larger residential and commercial buildings as well as commercial businesses
- With a flow temperature of up to 70 °C, it is also suitable for modernization
Allendorf (Eder), March 05, 2024 - The outdoor units of larger air/water heat pumps can not only generate heat efficiently, but also look good at the same time. Based on the award-winning Viessmann heat pump design for residential buildings, the Vitocal 250-A PRO sets new aesthetic standards in the large heat pump product category. Its compact, linear design blends in perfectly with the architectural surroundings. This has now been confirmed by an independent jury of experts with the iF Gold Design Award 2024.
The iF Design Award is presented once a year and is one of the most prestigious design prizes in the world. In order to be honored, a strict two-stage selection process must be passed by proven design experts. With a total of 10,800 entries from 72 countries, the competition is extremely demanding - only the highest quality work is selected.
Heating, cooling and DHW heating with just one appliance
The Vitocal 250-A PRO air/water heat pump is designed for use in larger residential and commercial buildings as well as commercial enterprises and can be used for heating, cooling and DHW heating. The sound insulated outdoor unit quietly and efficiently uses the outside air as a heat source. One device generates up to 38 kW of heating power. For higher outputs, cascading with up to four appliances is possible, providing up to 152 kW of heat output.
With flow temperatures of up to 70 °C, also suitable for existing buildings
Modern compressor technology with infinitely variable output adjustment, combined with the natural refrigerant R290 and electronic expansion valves, enables flow temperatures of up to 70 °C with high efficiency. As a result, the existing radiators can generally be retained when modernizing heating systems in existing buildings; a costly conversion with underfloor heating is not absolutely necessary.
