Better together: I am proud to have a strong and sustainable partner like Viessmann at my side and am very much looking forward to working together.
Career
Emily was practically born with a passion for winter sports, as she grew up very close to Oberhof. At the age of 5, she attended training at the local biathlon club for the first time and has remained involved in the sport to this day. At first she enjoyed the exercise, the group training motivated her, and at the age of 10 she added shooting to her cross-country skiing. At the age of 15, she transferred to the sports high school in Oberhof in order to better combine school and sport. After being accepted into the DSV junior squad and the Viessmann Junior Team, she is certain that she wants to pursue the sport professionally. In the 2023/24 season, she surprisingly qualified for the IBU Cup and, without any international experience, impressed with consistent performances and a fifth place in the overall standings.
Strong performances in the IBU Cup
At the start of the 2023/24 season, Emily took part in the qualifying races for the IBU Cup without any international experience and surprisingly qualified. Over the course of the season, she remained an integral part of the IBU Cup team, finished on the podium three times and was rewarded with fifth place in the overall standings at the end of the winter. Shortly afterwards, she suffered a serious knee injury, underwent surgery in May 2024 and has been working on her comeback with great ambition ever since.
