- What's important to me
-
My family and friends are a very important part of my life. I am also very concerned about nature and protecting the environment. I am adventurous and I am passionate about different kinds of sports. Social engagement is also very important to me.
I am very proud to have a partner like Viessmann at my side. A partner who shares the same values of environmental protection and sustainability that I do.
Career
Hanna finds her beginnings in cross-country skiing in her early school days and soon switches to biathlon, inspired by her older brother. She trains at the biathlon base in Kaltenbrunn. In 2013/14, she succeeds in switching from the state to the junior squad of DSV. Three years later, Hanna makes her international debut at the IBU Junior Cup in Nové Mêsto and sprints to second place. At the Junior World Cup 2019 in Osrblie she places as runner-up in pursuit and relay. At the end of the season she secures the overall victory in the IBU Junior Cup. After a long injury break, Hanna regularly competes in the IBU Cup in the 2020/21 season and, in addition to several podium finishes, can also celebrate her first victory in the relay. In the 2021/22 season, she makes her World Cup debut in Ruhpolding, and the following winter, Hanna is already firmly established among the world's best: she takes silver with the relay team at the home World Championships in Oberhof and top placings in individual races.
German junior champion
Hanna becomes German junior women’s champion both in sprint and with the relay team in 2017. She becomes vice champion in individual.
Promising youth talent
Hanna secures multiple podium finishes in the IBU Junior Cup this season. She becomes vice world champion both in pursuit and with the relay team at the 2019 Junior World Championships in Osrblie. She is also successful at the Junior European Championships in Sjusjøen and wins silver in sprint. At the end of the season, Hanna wins the overall ranking of the IBU Junior Cup.
Unfortunate setback
Due to pericarditis at the beginning of the season, Hanna has to refrain from any physical activity for some time and cannot compete in any races this season.
Successful IBU Cup debut
In the season 2020/21 Hanna starts for the first time in the IBU Cup and delivers with two podium finishes. In the final race of the season she can secure her first victory together with the mixed relay.
First commitment in the World Cup team
At the beginning of the season Hanna starts again regularly in the IBU Cup. At the home race in Ruhpolding she gets her first taste of the World Cup and just one week later she celebrates her World Cup relay debut as the final runner in Antholz (South Tyrol). After that, Hanna starts again in the IBU Cup and can record her first individual victory in the mass start in Lenzerheide.
World Cup debut & runner-up
Hanna starts the season in the IBU Cup; she is called up to the World Cup team for the World Cup in Antholz and causes quite a stir. She shows a strong race in the pursuit and finishes tenth, then leads the relay team to the podium as the final skier. This means she secures her ticket for the home World Championships in Oberhof at the last minute and also impresses here with good performances. Her efforts were crowned with the vice world champion title in the relay. Hanna's form continues to improve at the end of the season. She only just missed out on the podium in the last race of the season and finished fourth.
Early season end
After a successful 2022/23 season and good preparation, Hanna starts the winter motivated. However, a coronavirus illness in December set her back a long way. She was able to celebrate a podium finish with the relay team in Ruhpolding, but then unfortunately had to end her season early.
